Bear Country...
A black bear has been spotted once on our security cameras in 2025 while no one was on the property during his visit, in the time we’ve had the cameras installed in late 2024, though we have never seen tracks or signs of bears on the property in person. While encounters are extremely rare, we are in the mountains and wildlife is always possible. As a reminder of common safety guidance regarding bears: “Black—fight back. Brown—lay down. White… good night.”
Wild Hog
Wild hogs are known to occupy the general area and have occasionally been spotted on or near neighboring properties. These hogs travel in groups and are not known to stay around areas where there is lots of activity such as side by sides.
Hunting is not currently permitted on the property, though it may become an option in the future.
While the larger wildlife encounters are uncommon at our mountain location, the presence of wildlife is always a possibility in any outdoor setting. For your safety, please ensure that children do not wander outside alone, and always stay aware of your surroundings while enjoying the outdoors.
